Place of Assembly led the gut renovation of an existing three-bedroom summer home, transforming a modest seasonal house into a comfortable, durable, and refined multi-generational retreat.

Working within the home’s original footprint, the project focused on improving both the performance and livability of the house. The scope included a full roof replacement, repairs to longstanding building-envelope issues, upgraded insulation throughout, and the integration of a new HVAC system to support year-round comfort.

Inside, the existing kitchen was small, cramped, and disconnected from the main living areas. The new design opened the plan to improve circulation, daylight, and the relationship between cooking, dining, and gathering spaces. Bedrooms and bathrooms were fully refinished, giving the house a cohesive, refreshed character while preserving its relaxed summer-home atmosphere.

The completed renovation extends the life of the house and repositions it as a warm, functional gathering place for future generations.
